Kayaking

An understanding of the marine environment and connection with the sea is quickly developed in flat water kayaking. Starting from a sheltered beach, students learn to pilot two person craft, and then set out on a gently challenging expedition.

Kayaking

Depending on the conditions and the confidence of the group, the expedition can explore the granite quarry of Woolamai, explore Rhyll inlet or circumnavigate Churchill Island. Kayaking lends itself to fantastic opportunities for team building, be it school aged or corporate. We cater for groups up to 26 and have many different activities and challenges that will push the limits and challenge group dynamics.

Outthere provides all the gear: kayaks, paddles and life jackets, and lessons are run by friendly experienced instructors. We use 'sit on top' kayaks which are great for both beginners and more experienced paddlers.

All our activities are fully insured and comply with all necessary guidelines as set out by the Education department and the AAS. All lead instructors have community surf life saving certificates and level two first aid. Children's checks are mandatory for all Outthere staff.
